Laura, (Pictured, left and right) is the first and only contestant to have won the 250,000 pound so far. Laura achieved this on Sunday the 7th January 2007. Well done Laura, what a well deserved win. There are 22 contestants, each with a box containing an undisclosed amount of money. One lucky contestant is chosen at random to play for what is hopefully a life changing sum of money. The boxes contain anything from 1p to 250,000 pounds. The player has to pick the boxes to open over a series of six rounds. The first round the player opens five boxes at the end of which, The Banker rings to make an offer for the contestants box. The contestant has to decide whether to accept the offer and deal, or decline the offer and play on. The following five rounds only have three boxes opened in each round before the offer. The Banker rings at the end of each of the following rounds and makes an offer each time. The contestant at each stage has to make the decision to "Deal or No Deal". The question is, are they brave enough to go all the way and find out if the jackpot is in their box, or do they play safe, deal and take The Bankers offer and finish the game.
